British Nuclear Medicine Society Spring Meeting

Press release from Medical Imaging Convention's parter the British Nuclear Medicine Society, on their annual Spring meeting on the 14th to 16th April at the ICC in Birmingham:

"The 46th BNMS annual spring meeting is being held on the 14th to 16th April at the ICC in Birmingham. As always there is a packed program, with the now firmly established masterclass format, a host of invited speakers, a strong scientific component, bootcamp and both poster and commercial exhibits.

Saturday morning kicks of for early birds with the bootcamp program. The main conference gets going on the Saturday afternoon. Keeping us at the cutting edge of European practice – Professor Jasna Mihailovic will offer a review of PET-CT in myeloma, Dr Harshad Kulkarni and Levant Kebasakal are talking about aspects of PSMA therapies, and Dr Mahaptra looks at the global trends in cardiac imaging. A UK based perspective will be provided by Professor Ken Davies, Professor Ralph McCready, Dr Gill Vivian and Professor Alexander Hammers.

The commercial exhibition is always at the heart of conference. It is the setting for the president’s reception on the Saturday evening, and as always a great place to network, catch up with old friends and make new ones.

The all important delegate bags and lanyards (sponsored by Bright Technologies and Siemen's Healthineers) as well as a welcoming smile will be provided by the BNMS team at the conference reception area – come and say hello.

The awards dinner on the Sunday evening is the social focus of conference – this year it will be held at Canalside (5 minutes walk from ICC). We are very grateful to Hermes, Curium, Alliance and Bayer for their sponsorship of the awards. For those who still have the energy, the infamous ‘after party’ provides an opportunity for night owls to continue into the small hours.

A professional photographer will be attending conference and offering portraits for a small fee – with all proceeds donated to local charities at The Birmingham Children's Hospital and LimbCareUK.
