Dr. Ernesto Cerdena has been in the field of medical imaging for 32 years. Currently, he serves as a Corporate Director of Radiology Services at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in New Jersey, a member of the Geisinger Health. In 2016, Dr. Cerdena completed his PhD in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Administration. He also serves an adjunct professor at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Master’s Program in Radiologic Sciences teaching Strategic Management and Business Policy and Health Resources and Policy Analysis.
Dr. Cerdena was a Past President of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators Board of Directors in 2015-2016. He is a regular faculty of the Basic Leadership Institute. A Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certified, he is also a trainer for ALICE Active shooter, and High Reliability Organization patient safety training. He is a Certified Radiology Administrator, AHRA Fellow, and a Fellow by the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Challenges and Success in Adopting Clinical Decision Support Mechanism In Diagnostic Imaging
The Clinical Decision Support Mechanism connects ordering clinicians with evidence-based guidance directly in the ordering workflow, helping to improve quality of care and increase patient safety by eliminating inappropriate or unnecessary imaging studies.
