Pam Black is Head of Radiology at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust just over the river from Liverpool.

Pam is a radiographer whose career spans more years working than she’s going to admit to, mainly in and around Liverpool. She became a Radiology Manager in 2002 and worked in North Wales before taking up a post at Aintree University Hospital. In November 2014, she moved across the River Mersey to become Head of Radiology at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. She is a member of the Cheshire & Merseyside Radiology Forward View Programme and chairs the Facilities Estates and & Procurement Workstream.

Pam was President of the Society of Radiographers 2013-14, a UK Council member for the SoR for 7yrs, a member of the College Board of Trustees and was Chair of the Clinical Imaging Board 2015.

Pam is currently the Chair of Radiology and Oncology Congress, is the Chair of the Election Committee for the European Federation of Radiography Societies as well Regional Co-Ordinator for Professional Practice for Europe by the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists.
