Digital technology whether simple decision support tool or advanced AI has a major transformative role to play in the health system. Evaluating technology, demonstrating value add and constructing sustainable business cases that allow you to move beyond pilots into successful deployment are key to accelerate rapid adoption of digital technologies. The challenges in the NHS can be distinct from that in other health systems and it is important to understand these. The approach adopted at Guy’s Cancer will be discussed alongside real-life case study of how we have evaluated and deployed technology in our Cancer pathways and Cancer MDT .
