In this session Dr Dimitra Darambara will present an in-depth review with a comprehensive discussion on the latest technological innovations of photon-counting and multi-spectral x-ray imaging, the fostering of the latter in clinical practice and its potential clinical benefits. She will present and discuss the developments of and the emerging trends in photon-counting CT and will provide an insight on how it is being used, major developments in several clinical areas and anticipated barriers to adoption and implementation of such a technological breakthrough, in particular in the field of oncology.
